One of the worst things anyone can do is to try & live on a fixed
income especially during uncertain times. The best way to
thrive during recession is to increase the power of your income
10 fold via immediate and passive income streams.

Success Online:
- Become a professional marketer.
- Learn how to generate website traffic by paid and free
methods.
- Have a system that sift and sorts your visitors into: leads,
prospects and eventually sales.
- Learn how to connect with your prospects by phone
(prospecting). Some systems have live call centers in
place to do the phone aspect of your business but you
will still have to learn basic phone skills to become
successful.
- Have an auto responder (a software that most systems
offer) to send out pre-written email's to your leads list
that will keep them connected to you.
- Helping others. If you help others get what they want,
then you will get what you want. Think about it. This
should come from your heart.
Success Offline (Personal old school approach):
- Good people skills. Learn how to become a good
presenter. You will have to learn how to speak like a
professional. This takes some practice but the more you
do it, the better and easier this process becomes.
- Feel people out. You must learn how to quickly sort
through your prospects and not waste your time with the
wrong people.
- Direct qualified prospects to your presentation (you can
even direct them to a website that does the presenting
for you by handing out business cards with your website
address).
- Follow up. Make an appointment with qualified prospects
after they have had time to review your presentation.
- Collect a decision. If they are still not ready to make a
commitment to you at that point, then keep the door
open. If you give people space they will be more inclined
to join you.
Whether you decide to work online or offline it is very important
to have a one year plan for success. I am not saying that it will
take you one year to make money but it will take at least one
full year to get your organization up and running to full
momentum. This is where most people fail in this industry. Most
people quit before they get any results. Network Marketing and
MLM is not a lottery that will get you rich in 3 months. If you are
looking to become a millionaire in 3 to 6 months then a lotto
may be a better choice for you.
If you are looking for a legitimate opportunity and are willing to
invest up to a full year in your own business, then this industry
may be a good match for you.
The tortoise always wins the race.
Before starting your search, ask yourself the following
questions:
- What kind of products do I want to market?
- How much money do I want to make?
- How much start up money can I find?
- How soon do I want to get started?
- Can I stick this out for at least one full year before seeing
consistent returns, or am I just fooling my self?
- Am I prepared to go through the transition of an
employee to an Entrepreneur?
- Can something extra ordinary happen to me?
- Can I become a good leader?
Here are some questions regarding Network Marketing
Opportunities:
- How long has the company been around?
- What kinds of products do they sell?
- What will I be doing?
- Do they have live training?
- Do they have recorded online training for the times that I
am unavailable to attend live calls?
- Who is going to be my advisor / personal mentor?
- Is there a leadership support group in the company
should I need one?
- Can the system train me for success if my personal
mentor falls off the planet?
- How much will it cost to get started?
- Are there any on going monthly fees?
- How do I get paid?
- When do I get paid?
- Is there any residual income to be earned?
Do your due diligence. After finding an opportunity that
interests you:
- Make sure to go through the system thoroughly.
- Speak to your sponsor. Ask questions. Do not be afraid
that they will pressure you into something that you are
not prepared to do. If they are professional they will give
you space and time to check everything out until you are
satisfied. This step is very crucial.
- Attend a live business overview call and ask the
company direct questions.
- Check the BBB (better business bureau) and other
consumer fraud reporting entities.
- Do an online search on your sponsors name and see
what comes up.
- Do an online search on the company. Be very careful not
to get caught up in scam topics that were written by other
marketers to lure you into their opportunities. This is
known as negative marketing and unfortunately it can be
easily found all over the Internet. Be very weary about
sponsored ads saying things like "See why I passed that
opportunity up" ETC. Do you really want to get started
with someone who tries to persuade other people's leads
by there negative pitching? These people have no
integrity.
- Get a feel of your sponsor. Do they feel right to you? Do
you think that they will be there for you in the long run?
Does this person have integrity?
- Use your gut. It will never steer you wrong.
- Do not sponsor shop. This is the main reason that 97
percent fail in this industry. They look for huge teams
that do not have the time and hunger to spend with them.
Give the person who first presented you with the
opportunity a chance unless they are a complete
imbecile. Don't go looking for the top income earner in
that company unless it was them who first introduced you
to that opportunity. Just because they have great results
doesn't mean that you will. If you decide to sponsor shop,
what do you think will happen to your leads?
