A Guide To: Start A Cell Phone Retail Business

Here are 5 Tips on Starting a Mobile Cell Phone Business:

1. Choose a Cell Phone Service Provider such as: AT&T Mobility, Cellular One, T-Mobile USA
or Virgin Mobile ETC.

2. Apply to the Cell Phone Service Provider of choice to become an authorized Dealer or
Vendor. There will be certain qualifications such as your current credit score, start up costs
and other information that you will be required to submit.

3. Start Up Cost of $100,000  to $200,000 will be required.

4. You will need a good location. Some dealers reside in shopping mall occupying store retail
space or other designated areas in high traffic corridors and halls.

Shopping Malls can be quite expensive with average rents ranging anywhere from $1,000 to
$5,000 per month. There are other areas such as Plazas and smaller Strip Malls that can be a
lot more economical but offer less traffic.

5. Legalities. It is always best to consult a lawyer that specializes in the Small Business sector
to advise you of all the legal obligation that would be expected from you by your region.

If going the formal route through Cell Phone Service Providers isn't possible, you can alway try
to sub-lease from an existing cell phone dealer.
