Entrepreneur - Transitioning from an Employee to an Entrepreneur:

In order to become successful in any home based business opportunity, you will have to go
through the transition of an employee to an entrepreneur. This may not always be as easy as
it sounds. Let’s say that you find the “right” opportunity and feel ecstatic. You have all your
ducks in line and want to jump in with both feet. Excellent! This is known as passion. When
you have passion, your energy level is right through the roof putting you into your groove or
niche. This is where things start to happen in your life. You feel like you can move mountains
and at that point you probably can. The only problem that most people have is that they do
not hold their passion until they make their first sale.

Most new marketers have employee backgrounds. They have spent most of their adulthood
working for money. Getting paid for their time, not their efforts. One day they get fed up with
their lifestyle and start looking for something better. They find an opportunity, get excited and
get started. They may even make claims that they will become top earners in that company.
They spend most of their time at their day job thinking about this great opportunity and how
glorious life will be once they make it. They may spend an hour here or an hour there actually
doing the “work” that it takes to become successful but in the long run they come up short not
spending enough time working their home based business. However in their minds they feel
like they are doing so much work towards their business because they spend most of their
time thinking about their opportunity. A month of this goes by and they don‘t  see any
financial gains. They continue this “I going to get serious soon” attitude and go on for another
month but still no financial gains. They promise themselves that after they get all of their
ducks in line and fix this  and that in life, that next month they are going to get busy and go all
out doing “what it takes”.  Unfortunately next month some other distraction happens to them.
After four or five months of doing this to themselves and their businesses they finally get fed
up and decide to pack it in saying things like “I don’t think that opportunity was for me.”

Okay this may be a bit dramatic but you get my point. Employees who are used to getting
paid for their time may find it hard getting paid for their efforts.

Entrepreneur means to be a risk taking person.  Entrepreneurs alike leaders are developed
not born. Many successful entrepreneurs have been employees before. The only thing that
made them get through the transition was a great big strong desire that kept them in line.

The road that the entrepreneur takes is less travelled because most people will not do what it
takes to get what they want in life. In order to become a successful entrepreneur you will have
to go the extra mile. If you come up to a road block (problem) then you will just have to find
out what you are doing wrong and fix it.

If you really want to become a successful entrepreneur in the home based business industry
you will have to think and act like an entrepreneur.

Here are some examples of how entrepreneurs think:

It takes money to make money.
Success is a journey, not a destination.
I can be do and have anything that I really want.
My biggest struggle is to overcome myself.
The only thing that stands in my way is me.
The only limits in my life right now is the limits that I am placing on myself.
I will do what it takes to get what I want.
I will not quit.
This is not work to me because I enjoy this. The money is just a bonus.
I don’t have to wait until I become rich to be happy. I can be happy right now.

Here are some examples of how some employees think:
Does it cost money to join?
How much can I lose?
What if I don’t make it?
How long does it take to make money?
Is it easy to do?
Will I get my money back if I don’t make it?
What opportunities work?
What kind of income guarantees do they have?
What percent of the people actually make money?
If anything costs money to get started then it has to be a scam.

In order to become a successful entrepreneur you will have to be very disciplined. In the
world of free enterprise you will not have a boss standing over you making sure that you get
your work done. It will be up to you to see that you spend the required time of at least 2 to 3
hours each day, every day and even more on your weekends. If you really want to make a
change bad enough in your life then you will find the time to spend with your business.

Most employees are not willing to do for themselves what they are willing to do for their
employers.

If your desire is strong enough then you will most likely make it as a successful entrepreneur.
If you desire is weak or short lasted then you  do not stand a chance in the world of free
enterprise.

Most employees  have an entitlement mentality. Entrepreneurs on the other hand believe that
each and every thing in life is a gift or privilege.

When most employees look at an opportunity, they wander how much they may lose if they
were to fail. When an entrepreneur looks at an opportunity, they wander what their life may be
like if they don’t get started.

In the end it will be up to you to take calculated risks in life. There is nothing absolutely safe in
life but something seems to happen to the ones who go all out and take the necessary risks.
When you begin to trust in yourself, there is no such thing as “risk”.
